For the love of teaching.

“Can our school be so welcoming, so inviting, and so comfortable that every person who walks through our doors believes they are about to have an amazing experience?” (Douglas Fisher, Nancy Frey and Ian Pumpian)

Let’s make your school amazing.

Using the F-Word @ School

You shape futures and transform lives. Yet, there’s no doubt that teaching is an emotionally demanding calling. Educating the next generation can lead to a rollercoaster of feelings - both inside and outside the classroom. Prioritizing your staff's emotional well-being is crucial to reduce stress, prevent burnout, and keep the thrill of teaching alive.

By focusing on supporting the emotions that drive good behaviors, you can go beyond the surface and dive deep into nurturing a strong emotional culture that positively impacts every aspect of your school.

Doing so allows you to create a foundation of genuine connections and restored relationships, making your school a place where staff feel listened to, engaged, and valued. By investing in discussions and idea-sharing, you’ll encourage a sense of belonging and collaboration that boosts resilience and sparks innovation.

A positive and supportive emotional culture amongst staff and within classrooms helps create a school community where collaboration, trust, and a collective focus on student success thrive.

Take the first step towards an emotionally vibrant and successful educational journey. And we promise, using the f-word here won’t get you sent to the Principal’s office.

Through this highly interactive and hands-on workshop, your staff will come together to co-create the positive environment pivotal for not only their success while at school, but also their happiness and wellbeing. The objective of the workshop is to map the emotional culture of the team, explore how they support each other, the culture of the team, and the way they work together.

Through this workshop we will help:

  • Individuals understand their motivations, desires, needs and fears at work, plus their fellow educators

  • Build greater empathy for each other

  • Reinforce the great cultural things that already exist within the team and school environment

How we’ll run the 3-4 hour workshop:

  • We’ll explore how your people want to individually feel and not feel at work

  • Work together to map how the team want to feel and not feel as a collective to be successful (your team’s emotional culture)

  • Explore how this environment will impact the culture of the team and how they work together day-to-day

  • Define the actions, behaviours, and rituals that will support the culture they want to foster at school

After the session, you’ll receive a debrief of the workshop with insights and recommendations to help you continue to grow your emotional culture based on what your team has completed.

This workshop will help your team increase trust and understanding and build stronger connections with one another. Now’s the time to bring more humanity and empathy into your school.

This workshop can also be split into multiple sessions to meet group needs.
